Ala-Maududi. (1:1) In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate [1] 1 One of the many practices taught by Islam is that its followers should begin their activities in the name of God. This principle, if consciously and earnestly followed, will necessarily yield three beneficial results. First, one will be able to restrain oneself from Al-Tirmidhi said that this hadith was ḥasan gharib, "good but only reported once". In Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawood, Jami' at-Tirmidhi and al-Sunan al-Sughra, four of the six major hadith collections recorded that Abu Hurairah said, "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever sends one Salaam upon me, Allah will send ten upon him.'" Allah is an Arabic word that means "God" or, more accurately, "the God.". In Western culture, it is commonly believed that the word Allah is used exclusively by Muslims to describe their god, but this is not actually true. The word Allah is used by Arabic speakers of all Abrahamic faiths (including Christianity and Judaism) as meaning Name of Allāh written in Arabic calligraphy by 17th century Ottoman artist Hâfız Osman. Allah is the Arabic term for "God" in Abrahamic religions and is the main term for God in Islam.. Arabic-speaking Muslims, Christians and Jews (including the Teimanim, several Mizraḥi communities, and some Sephardim) use "Allah" as the proper noun for 'God.' "Allah" is found in the Qur'an Sik-Kerim and Al-Hayy is most often combined with the Name Al-Qayyoom, the Sustainer. This is a beautiful combination of the perfection of Allah's Attributes and His Actions. Al-Hayy means the One who possesses the perfect living and so all His attributes are perfect: His hearing, His sight, His Beauty etc. Man's life is imperfect from all sides: our aGH4.
